On the 5th November Piet and Tilla Avenant of Brackenfell, the winners of our Tyger Valley competition, were collected from their home and whisked off for a fabulous and stylish day out in Stellenbosch where they enjoyed a sumptuous buffet lunch at the famous moyo restaurant for their 49th wedding anniversary.
Says Piet, “You made our dream possible—thank you. Baie baie baie dankie!”

‘You need never change gear in a ROLLS-ROYCE was a common, and understandable, pre-war saying. The top-gear flexibility of early Rolls-Royces was legendary. Many Rolls-Royce Owners only ever changed gear when they came up against a gradient of Alpine proportions. One woman drove her Rolls-Royce in top gear for twenty-five years because she was quite incapable of changing gear. |
